Working With Activities From The Home Page

Previous: Creating Activities

My Tasks

  1. A list of tasks will display on the Home Screen in the My Tasks section
  2. You can manipulate which tasks are displayed based on their assigned Due Date
  3. A New task can be created by clicking the New button
  4. Tasks can be closed out by clicking the X in the complete column.
  5. The column headers are fixed. They will show the Name of the contact the task relates to and the other object it relates to if either were assigned when the task was created.


  1. Assigned To will default to the logged in user, but can be modified by using the Lookup for other users.
    1. It is also possible to assign multiple users
  2. Subject is a text field, but also contains a combo box that holds standard values
  3. Start Date and End Date are the start and end date of the event.
  4. Related To is a lookup to any object except Contacts. It is used if the event relates to a specific Listing, Property or any other object.
  5. Name is a lookup to the Contact.
  6. Description allows for 32000 characters of text
  7. Save will save the task with any changes made
  8. Save & New Task will save the existing task and bring up a new Task screen.
  9. Add to Invitees allows users to send calendar invitations to contacts and internal users. By clicking Add to Invitees it will append the invitee at the bottom of the screen in the Select Invitee’s section.

Note

Tasks will remain “Open” until the status of the tasks is changed to “Complete”

Calendar

Calendar Events are scheduled with a start and end date and time, and often contain a location. On the Home Screen, a Calendar Icon displays where the Calendar can be viewed in multiple different formats.

Day view icon.

Week view icon..

Month view icon.

Single-user view icon. Displays a user's calendar, a public calendar, or a resource calendar.

Multi-user view icon. Displays several users' calendars.

Activity list view icon.

Previous arrow. Click to change the view to the previous day, week, or month, as appropriate.

Next arrow. Click to change the view to the next day, week, or month, as appropriate.

Pick a Date icon. Click to open a popup dialog where you can choose a specific date.

Note

Events will automatically convert to Activity Histories at midnight of the End Date.
